Founded in 1998, Debra McKnight Higgins is the principal of McKnight Higgins & Associates. She is a seasoned marketing and fundraising professional that brings an entrepreneurial spirit to all of her work. She holds a Masters in Business Administration and has run four successful businesses of her own.

Debra transitioned her consulting work to the nonprofit sector from a background of 18 years in marketing, advertising, sales and public relations. She specializes in project management, fund research, major donor campaigns, marketing/branding strategy, foundation and corporate fundraising, assessment and planning, executive coaching, direct mail, and writing for proposals, marketing collateral and web sites.

Debra works closely with other strategic planning and fundraising professionals, and with teams of graphic designers, web designers, event planners, photographers and more. She conducts workshops, retreats and trainings for organizations and groups in the United States and abroad.
