Founded in 1998, Debra McKnight Higgins is the principal of McKnight Higgins Consulting. She is a seasoned professional that brings an entrepreneurial spirit to all of her work. She holds a Masters in Business Administration and has run four successful businesses of her own including a marketing company, a yoga studio and a restaurant.
Debra transitioned her consulting work to the nonprofit sector from a background of 18 years in marketing, advertising, sales and public relations. She specializes in strategic planning, project management, marketing and branding strategy, fund research, major donor campaigns, foundation and corporate fundraising, assessment and planning, annual campaigns, and writing for proposals, websites and social media.
Debra works closely with other nonprofit consultants, and with teams of graphic designers, web designers, event planners, photographers and more. She conducts workshops, retreats and trainings for organizations and groups in the United States and abroad.
